Politicals

1959 base
Atlantic county

Here is an unusual find: a triplet of plates. The owner must have gotten their plates remade in order for this to have happened.

1959 base
Mercer county

Occasionally, courtesy plates can have seals attached - I believe these go to judges and others involved in politics who are not quite high enough on the ladder to get their own type of plate.

1959 base, reflectorized

The elusive "T" county code... we're still not sure where this is from.

1959 base
Cumberland county

Another strange choice - why suffix 2 instead of 0?
1959 base
Cape May county
1977 base
Somerset county

This plate was remade years later, scroll down to see it.

1979 base
Union county

The bottom plate is not in my collection - I actually photographed it in use before acquiring the plate above it. I photographed the plate in 2003, and acquired the plate above it several years later. Amazing! I guess what happened is that the owner decided to get their courtesy plates remade into handicapped plates and got rid of the old ones.
1979 base
Middlesex county
1979 base
Essex county

Handicapped courtesy, not nearly as common as regular ones.
1992 base, first-generation 3M sheeting
Somerset county

This is a remake of the other SRL 10 plate on this page, with a suffix added.
1992 base, first-generation 3M sheeting
Ocean county
