Before dentist became a separate type with its own caption, regular vanity plates with "DDS" or "DMD" could be ordered instead. The caption appeared later in the straw base.

2004 sample, Avery sheeting

This one isn't bad either, but the missing divider kind of ruins it for me.

2006 sample, second-generation 3M sheeting

It will probably be a long time until I get a real example of this type, so this sample will have to do.

2008 sample, second-generation 3M sheeting

This one was made on the new "boxless" sheeting. This is the first NJ non-passenger sample that I know of that has been made on this new sheeting.
