Issued to State Police vehicles. Instead of white characters,
they use yellow., as well as a significantly darker background
on some plates (like this one). Supposedly a lower number desginates
a higher-rank officer, but I'm not sure if that's accurate. This
is a slightly older style, as current base SP plates do not have
the maple tree. |

As low as it gets. This is the current SP style, with different
fonts. However, the bottom corners are cut a little strangely on
this plate, so I don't think that's standard procedure. |

font on the top and bottom rims has changed. |

Apparently there are some S000 series plates floating around. This
plate was on an unmarked Ford Explorer (which is pointless because
it has these plates), I also saw S series State Police plates on
a Toyota Tacoma. Maybe this series is only for unmarked vehicles? |
