Truck

1986
1989

1990
Narrow dies were used starting at KN100.
2006
After LH999, plates switched to the six-character format, starting at AAB 100.
c. 2005
I still don't know what this orange sticker mans.

2008
Great number!

2007

This format made it to the BNF series, then...
In mid 2009, Vermont switched to a new format for truck plates. For reasons I may never know, they elected to go with a 7-character format: 123A123.

This comes at a time when other states are doing everything they can NOT to issue 7-character formats, mostly for legibility reasons.

I understand wanting to differentiate between vehicle types, but why not just make it 123 ABC?
2009
What a terrible idea.
